Basic Life Support aka CPR

American Heart Association BLS provider CPR is the gold standard of CPR certification. It is designed for students who will be working in a health care setting or a rescue setting such as wilderness first responders, lifeguards, and guides. It is required for EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and is required for numerous government guide permits. This class runs a maximum of 4 hours. Topics covered include:

  • One Rescuer Adult, Child, and Infant CPR

  • Two-Rescuer Adult, Child, and Infant CPR

  • Use of Automated External Defibrillator

  • Relief of Adult, Child and Infant Choking

  • Effective Ventilations (artificial breathing)

  • Team Dynamics

  • AHA Chain of Survival

What to Expect

There is a moderate amount of physical activity that is required for administering life saving CPR. The student should be able to kneel on the ground for a minimal of 10 minutes at a time.

Price

The course costs $50.00 per student and cover all the necessary equipment and books required for the course.
